Guest Juror - Craig Stover

WHY HAVE A GUEST JUROR? In order to present you with a high-quality show, we invite a different guest juror each year who chooses the participating artists' on their creativity and use of materials. They are also curating the show and making sure a variety of mediums and styles are represented to provide a diverse collection . Meet the guest juror for this year.

Craig Stover has resided in Philadelphia for over 30 years and is widely known in the Philly arts scene as an artist, teacher, curator, and art administrator.

Craig has exhibited his artwork in numerous galleries, including the Pentimenti Gallery, Cerulean Arts, and the Williams Gallery. His studio is in the Fairmount neighborhood where he welcomes visitors and collectors alike.

Over the past decade, Craig served as the Executive Director for Allens Lane Art Center where he oversaw its summer art camp, produced 60+ productions in the Allens Lane Theater, curated over 100 exhibitions in the Alber Galleries, and developed a wide variety of classes in the visual and performing arts - including the well-known Vision Thru Art program (sculpture classes for blind artists). 

Additionally, Craig also hosts a weekly artist interview program called ArtShow www.youtube.com/@ArtShowwithCraigStover that started as a response to the pandemic but has grown to over 150 artist interviews. ArtShow highlights some of the best artists working in Philadelphia today and gives viewers a chance to learn about new artists, how they work, and what inspires their creativity.
